Chris McFarland

Lead Carpenter

Working with his hands is Chris’s passion. Although he studied graphic design in college, he quickly decided that sitting in front of a computer all day wasn’t for him. So he learned carpentry, working as an apprentice alongside several excellent mentors. Eventually Chris had his own finish carpentry business, and ran a cabinet shop for a builder specializing in Colonial home reproductions. He did everything from building cabinets, to installation, to trim work. Nowadays, working for Gaspar’s, Chris says that helping customers make the old look new again is the best part of his job.

Chris grew up in and around Seattle. In his spare time, he goes to BMX bike competitions with his niece (who just won the state championship!). He enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and just being outdoors, rain or shine.
