Preserving elegant touches while infusing contemporary comforts

Preserving elegant touches while infusing contemporary comforts

Formerly an unfinished basement, the homeowners asked Gaspar's to design a space that could both accomodate overnight guests and be used for entertaining. The result is a warm, inviting, and functional basement that features expansive custom Crystal Cabinetry and beautiful details. The new design includes a large living room with sprawling bookshelves, a spare bedroom, a full kitchen, a full bathroom, and a laundry closet. What sets this basement apart, however, is the wet bar hidden behind a bookshelf.

This playful bar features a palette of warm woods, ashy charcoals, glittering brass and moody antiqued mirror. Backlit shelves provide ample display space, and a tall custom cabinet and undercounter refridgerator provide plenty of additional storage. Brass punctuated shelving offers a display for antiques and treasures, this can then be tactfully concealed within the continued bookcase.
