Cluttercore Laurelhurst Home Transformation
This sprawling remodel was truly a labor of love. Our homeowners wanted this incredible home to reflect their eclectic, artful taste - down to meticulously collecting the vintage fixtures mixed and matched throughout the space.
These homeowners have described their style as 'cluttercore' and wanted to imbue each room of the home with their layered, lush aesthetic, and it was our privilage to set that stage.
Traditionally Beautiful & Artfully Unique
This soft blue kitchen is traditionally beautiful, while remaining artfully, unique - featuring tidy custom cabinetry (to house their espresso maker, microwave, and toaster oven), botanical wallpaper, a scooped side spash and custom island. Through a door with leaded windows, guests can pass the stunning powder bath on their way to the main entertaining and living space.

The dramatically gorgeous powder bath is also a very functional addition, as the only bathroom on this home's main floor. The chevron floor, curved marble sink, ornate gold fixtures, and grassy green wainscotting paired with the joyful flying creature wallpaper bring this homeowner's rich elcectic style to even this small space.
The key footprint change in this space was surrounding the entry and stairway. The Gaspar's team developed a layout that accommondated a new powder bath, considerable storage, and a beautiful landing at the top of the stairs. This not only makes better use of the previous hallway, but offers a better flow to the living and dining spaces. Leading to the new stairway, the light wood floor features a chevron pattern. The inviting stairway bends at a new landing with dramatic art deco sconces, then up to the second-floor bedrooms.

This grand room features floor-to-ceiling shelves on one side and striking views on the other. The expanded windows, complete with folding shutters, span the front of the home and make the most of the incredible Lake Washington view. Removing a wall between the lounge space and greater room made the most of the beautiful light and opened up the space. This also nicely features the new bar, complete with ample storage and undercounter fridge. Whether they are hosting a party or relaxing with a morning coffee, these homeowners make great use of this space - showing off their worldly treasures and bold style.
The meticulously refinished antique carpentry in the primary bedroom, lush wallpapering, and roomy primary bath are an elegant suite. The sculptural, free-standing tub, intricate marble tile, and richly vibrant water closet bring their artful style to the bright bathroom. Across the hall, their boys' rooms are connected by a revitalized Jack & Jill bathroom featuring custom tilework.
